Every piece we sell has been touched by at least three pairs of hands before it reaches you: the weaver, the dyer, and the woman in our Jaipur atelier who folds it into muslin and slips a hand-written note inside the box.
A slow house
We work with only nine ateliers across India — in Varanasi, Kanchipuram, Bhuj, and the villages around Jaipur. We visit them twice a year, we pay in advance, and we never haggle. We believe that a saree woven under duress carries that duress into the wearer's shoulders.
Our motifs
The lotus in our logo is the same lotus that unfolds along the border of every saree we commission. It is the symbol of the Padmavat, of Lakshmi, of quiet becoming. When you wear our sarees, you carry a small piece of that patience with you.
